The Half Marathon

The Half Marathon, which tracks through very attractive Chilterns countryside, is an ideally timed event for runners coming back to competitive running after winter training (or hibernation!)  It is frequently used a serious "marker" for those training for the full marathon distance of the London Marathon and elsewhere

Schools Challenge

We offer a £250 School Prize for the top 4 girls and boys in School teams entering the 5 mile Fun Run.  See conditions here.  Entering a team will also enable students to raise cash through personal or team sponsorship for their favourite charity and everyone will get fit too! Most schools have been contacted with details of how to enter a team but if not then email us for details.

The Organisers

The event is promoted by Berkhamsted Rotary Club  who aim to organise a successful and challenging half-marathon event together with an interesting 5 mile fun run. Over the years this Rotary event has raised more than £320,000 for various charities

The Five Mile Fun Run

The Five Mile Fun run is a very popular event with local runners, especially family teams, local schools and community groups who raise sponsorship for their own charitable causes. Sharing part of the Half Marathon route through beautiful countryside, finishing the run gives a great sense of achievement

Prizes

Generous running and fund raising prizes will be awarded - see Prizes for details

The Rotary Half Marathon and 5 Mile Run are routed through the beautiful Chiltern countryside. The start is at Berkhamsted Cricket Club which is close to Berkhamsted Station.

Your entry helps Rotary raise funds for various local charities and in particular for DENS - Helping Rebuild Lives,  and two care organisations, the Pepper Foundation and the Hospice of St Francis.

Did you know that Berkhamsted Rotary supports many excellent charities through fundraising on this and other events through the year?  Want to get involved? Click here for more details.

We're keen to recognise runners who are raising funds for your own preferred causes too.  When you register, be sure to let us know. Fundraising prizes are awarded for those raising more for their chosen charity than any other contender. Click here for more details.

There's great prize money on offer as well as trophies for individuals and teams in various categories.

We'll be awarding everyone who completes the races one of our bespoke medals so don't miss adding it to your collection
